I must say, I had more funn than eating shrimp last night. (I think there are two quotes in that first sentences, but I don't recall who said what.) Soul Food night at 3Thirty1 was great. A smaller crowd than usual, but a great time. Dread Clampitt gets better with every show they play. After spending almost six hours there, I went over to Gator's "Blue Orleans" located in Blue Mtn Beach. "Gator and the New Orleans Blues Band" (something like that), were playing a great show. Dread Clampitt shows up soon after I arrived, and Kenny (Bass player) and Kyle [Diane's (SoWal poster) son and DC guitar player and singer] sat in and played with Gator's band. It was a hit! Kyle handed over the electric guitar to Kenny, and Kenny let it loose, playing the heck out of that thing. Duke (formerly of Elvis' band back in the 1970's) jumped back in and sang a few songs. That was one funn time in Gator's little family restaurant by day and Social and ... Club by night. I took some photos and will try to post them later if they turned out. Gator's band is playing Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights, kicking off around 9:30pm at "New Orleans," in Blue Mtn. If you like old school Blues, grab a few friends and pay Gator and friends a visit. Gator is the Coonass playing keyboard and sometimes singing the Blues.
