I was cleaning out my inbox and found this interesting link. Miss Kitty and DD, metro Dallas is the worst, as if you didn't know. That being said, the home we own in GA is under a red dot, and the home we will own in SoWal is close to the Panama City red dot. Oh, well.

I'm reading the dots as "glass pretty dang full". SoWal is relatively far from the dots, and on the border lines of infrequent hurricanes and tornadoes. We're just fine...what was that rumble?...why is the earth shaking?...aaahhhhh....

We used to live just down the way from the New Madrid fault, and that part of Tennessee pretty much had zero building codes to deal with another Big One. I'd rather deal with hurricanes anytime since at least you get a fair amount of warning from them.

Coastal South Carolina has both -- hurricanes and a high risk of earthquakes.
And, no, I don't sit around worrying about this stuff -- unless a hurricane is heading toward the Gulf coast 😉.
