Well I was raised up beneath the shade of a Georgia pine
And that`s home you know
Sweet tea pecan pie and homemade wine
Where the peaches grow...

Steve Winwood has to be one of the most unsung great musicians of all time. This video is probably forty years old when he was with Spencer Davis Group. He also formed Traffic, Blind Faith, and played on sessions with Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, George Harrison, and untold other great players.( He was actually considered as the possible lead singer for Led Zeppelin, before Robert Plant was discovered.) If you haven't followed his solo career, you should pick up the earlier albums "Arc of a Diver", "Roll With It"(great video), and his last two "About Time" and "Nine Lives". He's great.

I have Arc of A Diver.

But, I didn't know those other facts of him.

SSB, Great Zac Brown Band show. A friend of mine just started playing with them.

Another cool thang about Georgia is that my Uncle is here helping me bid on something groovy on ebay.

Bob: I love this early stuff. I remember when Spencer Davis Group was the cutting edge...so much more "dangerous" than The Kinks and The Dave Clark Five (LMAO). It begs the question, who was Spencer Davis? Was he the drummer, the guitarist? No one ever heard from him again once Stevie started singing.

[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spencer_Davis]Spencer Davis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] I believe spencer intros the songs and plays guitar on these videos. in earlier videos, he was the lead singer, but it became painfully obvious winwood had the compelling talent. this simple music is hard to beat.
