This is the question AMC is asking during The Godfather II.
I'm gonna say Michael.

MAMA Corleone...
'baddest' = strongest / loving acceptance ethic
(I never tire of watching Godfather... Part II is my fave!)

You might be right about Mama. What a woman.

Only Kay could kill a Corleone and live to tell about it. Sonny was the meanest without a gun. Fredo betrayed the family. Michael outdid the old man in many ways but Vito was the baddest and the most powerful. Gutting the defenseless old man on the terrace was brutal.

The lawyer/adopted brother. He was smooth. I have to ask Ed his name. He watches those movies more often than we change our oil.

Vito by far - Micheal was too pampered and had others do most of his dirty work.

Remember Michael's bodyguard said, "In Sicily, women are more dangerous than shotguns."

Was that the one who blew up his wife?

Yes, Fabrizio who was bought off by another family. Apollonia did seem spunky but, sadly, of course she was no match for a bomb that was intended for Michael.

The poor child bride. I'd like to see an alternate story where she survived and thrived in America. And what of the family she left behind?

I think that if she had survived Micheal would have stayed in Sicily and had a different life.

Both of those sound like they would be intriguing stories.

I totally think that's what would have happened.
