Ha Ha! Got your attention! Not really, but it sounds like they're getting desperate. They're ready to use force. This is getting exciting!

This thing is backfiring in Wisconsin....it looks like Walker's intention is to hurt middle class, working people in Wisconsin, and that is also the perception as well...this may bode well for Obama in this state for 2012 if it keeps up.
Even the conservative Rasmussen poll doesn't look good for this dude.

When all else fails the GOP can always fall back on being the drama queens they are.
Is there going to be some sort of underground railroad for runaway senators? I hope the authorities don't start searching people's houses.

The Republicans are clearly thinking long-haul and are making a run for the 2024 Presidential election. Too many possible Republican candidates don't want to give up cushy attention grabbing high salaried jobs at Fox News in order to make a run in 2012. They know they are going to lose. I think it would be a good idea for Obama to pick a new running mate, one that would be a potential candidate for the 2016 presidential election. So then Hilliary wins in 2016 and serves two terms.

Before you get too excited, remember that polls are no longer used to measure public opinion.....they are used to shape it.
The fact that the Republicans are holding firm tells you that the Wisconsin public is backing them. Otherwise, you'd see them caving.

Without going into the details of the electoral math, in my opinion the Republicans cannot afford to alienate themselves from certain swing states. Everything they are doing in Wisconsin has national implications. Even if they "win" this one he won't help their reputation and their chances in 2012. To win the presidency, they absolutely must take both Ohio and Florida, but even that may not be good enough since Obama has shown the ability to win states like Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, and possibly Missouri. It's a serious miscalculation to denigrate the middle class in these times. That's why I think the GOP has conceded the 2012 Presidency to the Democrats and are looking to the next decade.

I seriously doubt they've given up on 2012. Scalia, Kennedy, Ginsburg, and Breyer may all retire during that period. So there may be a lot riding on the next election, I'm sure that's not lost of the GOP establishment. Plus I know groups like American Crossroads are going to be dumping a ton of money into Senate and House races, since at this point it still looks like the GOP has a good chance of picking up additional seats, especially in the senate.

I think NC staying blue will be a LONG shot in 2012 unless the GOP really makes a dumb decision on their nominee. Look at the 2010 election. The majority of the Dem House members who were elected were more moderate.
