5th Annual Run Watersound Oct 25 At Watersound Town Center

The fifth annual RUN WATERSOUND will take place on Saturday, October 25 with two event distances, a 5K and a 10K.

All races will begin and end at the WATERSOUND TOWN CENTER PAVILION with a flat, scenic course through the paths and sidewalks of the beautiful Watersound Origins community. Afterwards, awards will be announced at the Pavilion.

The race will take runners north up Watersound Parkway and through the tranquil Watersound Origins community. Runners will be treated to a beautiful course that utilizes the neighborhood’s paths and sidewalks (some gravel paths) to maximize safety and enhance the running experience. Although the routes will utilize paths and sidewalks, runners should be mindful of traffic, as no roads will be closed. Awards will be given to the Top 3 males and females overall in both the 5K and 10K. The finish line will be back at the Watersound Town Center Pavilion where refreshments, music and fellowship will continue until 10 a.m.

After the race, every participant is invited to Village Market at Watersound Town Center to enjoy one (1) mimosa, Bloody Mary, beer or non-alcoholic beverage "on the house." Runners will present their medal to the hostess for their beverage token and will be directed to the back patio to enjoy some quick post-race bites as well as lawn games and music.
