The DeFuniak Springs Sprint Triathlon will take place Saturday, May 4. Beginning at 7AM, the triathlon will start with with a 600 yard swim in the second most round lake in the world, followed by 16 mile bike ride into the scenic country, followed by a 5k around the lake through historic Victorian style homes surrounding the lake.
Usher in the holidays with the annual Christmas Tour of Homes in historic DeFuniak Springs on Saturday, December 2.
Filled with holiday splendor, the tour runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and features 15 beautiful homes, churches, and businesses.
Hosted by St. Agatha’s Episcopal Church, the tour kicks off a day-long series of festivities around Lake DeFuniak and its charming and vibrant downtown business district—a Main Street America community member.
Main Street DeFuniak Springs, in partnership with Visit South Walton, is celebrating National Wine Day in style with its inaugural Wine Walk taking place Thursday, May 25 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Participants will receive a commemorative tasting glass to be reused at participating merchants and receive a raffle ticket for every $10 spent in merchant shops and restaurants. The raffle tickets will be entered in a drawing for a merchant gift basket valued at more than $500.
The Florida Chautauqua Theater in Defuniak Springs is the historic setting for the most recent edition of the Tim Jackson’s Storytellers Tour.
The popular live music series is a monthly opportunity that brings storytellers/songwriters to the historic downtown to perform their original music.
Main Street DeFuniak Springs will host its 2nd Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Historic Downtown DeFuniak Springs.
The event, held outdoors on Baldwin Avenue between S. 7th and S. 8th St., will feature craft and domestic beer, food, music, axe throwing, and activities for kids and families.
Main Street DeFuniak Springs will once again kick off its 2022 Farmer’s Market Season with a rare and restored Tractor Parade. Taking place on Saturday, March 19, 2022, on Baldwin Avenue in Downtown DeFuniak Springs, the market will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the tractor parade at 10:00 a.m. All vendors and tractors will be onsite until 12:00 p.m.
Main Street DeFuniak Springs is set to host its inaugural Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
