Café Thirty-A in Seagrove Beach raised a record-breaking total of $35,564 for Caring and Sharing of South Walton during its annual Charity Ball.
I had the pleasure of documenting construction by ground and aerial photography from ground breaking to final touches for this impressive home at 146 Montgomery Street which recently sold for a South Walton record price of $14,000,000. “Mont Blanc” in Seagrove is comprised of 5 Bedrooms and 5 baths at 9,051sf.
Pushing the boundaries of both architectural design and fortified construction, this idyllic home combines quality and artistic inspiration into a refined finished product that has no parallel in Northwest Florida.
This photo is from July 4th 1979 at the start of the annual parade with ten Jeeps decked out with flags lining up on Hickory Street in Seagrove. The blue Jeep is owned by the woman in the blue bathing suit in the foreground who is Janie Soloman (Marie and Jane’s mom).
Time to get out your fanciest threads for the Café Thirty-A annual Christmas Charity Ball benefiting Caring and Sharing of South Walton.
Cooler days translate to “come get outside with us” for Tom Losee and his RUN/SUP team here in SoWal.
In the 1940s and 1950s families that visited SoWal every Summer stayed in quaint cottages - some were simple and practical concrete block homes that stayed cooler on hot days and defied the elements. Some of the getaways were wooden shotgun shacks moved down to the beach from Old Point Washington where they had housed workers when lumber was booming.
Here in SoWal, Summer is calling for folks to be outdoors in one fashion or another.

Café Thirty-A recently held its annual Christmas Charity Ball on Friday, December 7, 2018, and raised a total of $26,200 for Caring and Sharing of South Walton, an organization which provides food and financial assistance to area families and individuals in need.
