Sandestin

Golf Galore & Beautiful Beaches

Sandestin is South Walton's largest resort destination, featuring miles of pristine beaches and a number of championship golf courses, high-rise condos, rental homes and a vast array of dining, retail and entertainment options.

It’s also home to 15 world-class tennis courts, 19 swimming pools, and a 113-slip marina. While the 2,400 acre property is geared for vacationing families, much of Sandestin is enjoyed by both locals and visitors to South Walton. There’s a little something for everyone.

One of Sandestin’s standout attractions is the Village of Baytowne Wharf. It features restaurants, bars, shops, and family-friendly activities. Sitting on the shore of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the area pieces together elements of an old fishing village and a New Orleans marketplace, making the atmosphere fun and relaxing.

Baytowne Wharf also features excellent dining such as Marina Bar & Grill situated directly on the marina overlooking the bay,  Acme Oyster House, a world famous raw oyster bar, directly from the French Quarter in New Orleans, Funky Blues Shack is adorned with great local folk-art and has lots of live music, and several delicious eateries serving up seafood, burgers, asian and excellent Gulf coast cuisine.

The Village boardwalk is lined with kid-friendly activities like zip-lining, a rock climbing wall and an obstacle course. Plus there’s always lots of events happening year round, whether it’s an exciting New Years Eve party, concerts on the lawn, Sandestin Wine Festival, Baytowne Beer Festival or the yummy Sandestin Gumbo Festival.

Golf at Sandestin is also a top attraction. There are a number of different award-winning courses to play, including the Raven Golf Club, which was a stop on the 2007 PGA tour. The golf courses in Sandestin stretch from the Gulf to the Bay, including Baytowne Golf Club, Burnt Pine Golf Club, and The Links Golf Club.

Sandestin is also close to great shopping with Grand Boulevard to the east and Silver Sands Premium Outlets to the west.
