- Prominence to to the east end of Scenic 30A.

Left and right turn lanes will also be added to CR 395 onto Scenic 30A this Fall.

Hard to believe that the original thread started in 2008, and nearly 10 years later, nothing has happened.

Right hand turn lanes will just make the intersection more dangerous to pedestrians.

The Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida (the “County”) is seeking competitive bids for the CR30A Resurfacing Project Phase 3 (CR83 to CR395).

ITB DEADLINE: November 6, 2017 no later than 3:00PM (local time) and will open immediately thereafter.

PROJECT: The Walton County Road 30A Resurfacing Project (CR 83 to CR 395) is located in Santa Rosa Beach south of US Hwy 98. The scope of the proposed project will involve roadway rehabilitation along CR 30A from the intersection of CR 83 in Blue Mountain Beach to the intersection of CR 395 in Seagrove. The contractor will be required to mill and remove the existing asphalt pavement to and average depth of two inches throughout the mainline and paved shoulders within the project limits and deliver the reclaimed asphalt to the County’s pit on CR 83 in Blue Mountain Beach. Following milling operations, the contractor will be required to replace the milled surface with FC 12.5, 220 lb/sy (2” compacted thickness). The contractor will be required to provide Maintenance of Traffic throughout the duration of the construction timeframe and will be responsible for coordinating, inventorying, and replacing all pavement striping and markings removed and/or damaged during the construction process. Clipping of shoulders will be required prior to completion of the roadway rehabilitation efforts.

BIDS OFFERED ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE VENDOR FOR ASSURING THAT BIDS ARE RECEIVED IN THE PURCHASING OFFICE BY THE DESIGNATED DATE AND TIME. NO FAXED, ELECTRONIC, OR ORAL BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.


BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF ITS BID. BIDS RECEIVED AFTER THE SPECIFIED DAY AND TIME WILL NOT BE OPENED.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

This project includes the renovation of the Timpoochee Trail along the south side of CR 30A beginning at CR 83 (Old Blue Mountain Rd) in the west and ending at CR 283 (Defuniak St) in the east. The project intent is to construct a 10’ trail along the south side of CR 30A and provide storm drainage facilities and other enhancements not currently in place. Pavement removal, earthwork, grading, base material construction, asphalt paving, concrete work, paver replacement, storm drainage, retaining walls, sodding, and signing & marking activities are all required in the scope of work. Repair and/or replacement of the wooden bridges at Big Redfish Lake, Little Redfish Lake, and Alligator Lake are also required. Careful coordination with existing utilities and the roadway bridge replacement project at Big Redfish Lake are required. See contract plans for exact details and requirements.
