This beautiful sofa features a very nice, solid hardwood frame (mahogany?) with original patina, and finely hand-carved details on the crest rail, arms and legs that include swags, acanthus leaves, and feather-like plumes.
Graceful outswept arms and a goosedown-filled single bench seat cushion make it an extremely comfortable piece. Originally purchased at auction in CA by an interior designer, it was beautifully updated and reupholstered for today's décor in a neutral linen print, accented with vintage nailhead trim.
The sofa is in excellent condition, and the construction is completely solid, sturdy and tight. Dimensions are 86" long by 32" deep by 34" high. Floor to seat height is 18". From a non-smoking, no pets home.
