Let Your Artist Soul Soar at Bayou Arts Center
December 4, 2014 by SoWal Staff
There's no prettier setting to let your artist soul soar than the Bayou Arts Center on Hogtown Bayou! The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) offers a dynamic collection of workshops throughout the year called “CAA’s Workshop Wave.” Most half-day classes are $30 for CAA members and $35 for non-members. Most full day classes are $60 for members and $70 for non-members. All classes are open to the public to reserve.
Classes take place at the Bayou Arts Center on Hogtown Bayou Lane, a picturesque setting on the water among the marshes sure to inspire any artist, novice or experienced.
The year long class schedule includes, but is not limited to watercolor, pastel, drawing, photography, zentagle, ice dying, glass mosaics, portraits and figure drawing. Nationally renowned artists travel to South Walton specifically for the purpose of sharing their talent with our community by teaching classes. South Walton area artists teach classes weekly.
“These classes are a wonderful asset to both our local community and visitors alike, offering an interactive opportunity to immerse themselves into our rich artistic culture in an unintimidating setting,” says Ginny Haygood Cultural Arts Alliance Workshop Committee Chair.
