Somebody probably got in an accident and tried to sue St. JOE. Or sued because of the potholes. Somebody did a pretty bad job of paving. Of course it does get a ton of traffic.

If memory serves, it has a blue street sign on 30A which means it's a private road. The county isn't responsible for its upkeep in anyway. It's on Watersound / St. Joe. That's their public disclaimer to avoid getting sued much like the super fast list of bad side effects you get at the end of every drug commercial. Boiled down...it's CYA

Yup - I imagine St. Joe could request a repaving.

If you look on google earth you will see that sign has been up since November of 2025. The issue must have risen last summer. (?)

It was well over a year ago, somebody spray painted 'the roads are better in Mexico' on the southbound lane across from the water hazard.

Yup can confirm. They made it worse by starting a detour on Saturday, Barely got anything done and don't work on Sunday so all the church traffic was a cluster.
