Finally! A downpour

It started about 30 min. ago and is still going. Puddles in the yard, water running down the street, everything. And it's been coming down hard, too. I bet we've gotten 1/2 inch or more.

You are lucky. I probably received a 1/4 inch in about 6 minutes, then the storm rapidly departed and is nothing now.

Whole lot of thunder, not much rain yet! I'm hoping for a good soaking!

Poured like a faucet on 331. Rumor of hail between DFS & Freeport; also rumor of wind damage in Freeport. Also rumor of wind damage on Chat Holley Road. But none of this is official.

Co-worker's husband says it's sunny and 105 in Crestview.

Kat, it poured and poured at the restaurant for about 45 minutes. Small lake formed on the street between us and Washaway, and Conch Out has its own lake under the porch. So nice and cool outside now as I type this from the front porch, looking at the dunes and the gulf...

Sorry for the inconvenience to your vacation, but after all the dry weeks, the recent fires, etc., I'm tickled that it comes a downpour any time of the day.

I know, I certainly understand the need for rain. It can rain anytime, I'll just take an umbrella with me! I think I'm just jealous that we aren't getting it at my house back in GA!

I didn't dance in the rain, but got a good natural shower/soaking as I left Publix! Love that there was finally rain!

I'm not sure where in the metro area you are. We are north east and got a duckdrowner last night. Blew in from the southeast. Hail, nasty lightning, and glorious rain! 4 inches in our area. The temp here at 7 am was 60 degress, almost 20 degrees cooler than yesterday morning. The sky is as blue as I've seen it lately. Beautiful day!
