The sweetest yellow lab wondered into my office in Seaside today. He appears to be 8 - 10 years old. According to security he has been hanging around in Seaside for many days. I am trying to convince my husband-to-be that we need a third pet, but being more of a realist he says we can keep him until the owner or a new owner can be found.
If anyone knows of someone looking for a large, yellow, male lab, please contact Jennifer at 850.231.3033 (office) or through this message board. He has a collar but no tags. He is trained and very calm and sweet.
Thank you!

I can't believe Lucky is still on the loose!! The owners of the dog were in Grayton Beach. The woman and her daughter said the dog was familiar with the Grayton Beach area and usually came home on his own (unless people were feeding him). When I talked to her, that was last week  she said he had been gone for 30 hours and that was the longest he had ever been out. I would be going crazy if one of my dogs were gone that long!!! I wish they knew about SoWal.com!! :idontno:

I not only wish they had had Sowal.com, but also a fence.

I spoke to the owner, Janet Taylor, last night, and they still had not located Lucky Dog (one week missing). She said his tags should have been on him, but they were gone by the time he came into my life.
She said he was prone to wandering but usually stayed around the Grayton area. I think they live in Watercolor now. The last time he'd been seen was Friday night at ONO in Seaside. No word since then. He probably has a new home.
I used to have a dog named Lucky, and I have come to realize that it is not a very good name.

If Lucky does have a new home, I sure hope his new owners keep better tabs on him. He sounds like a sweet dog; if he's been hanging around Seaside, he's lucky to have survived the traffic! Sure hope Lucky is safe and comfy somewhere.

Maybe this helps? If it is the same dog, he has been on the road for awhile!

What type of dog is this in the photo? He is exactly the kind of pooch I've always dreamed of having.
Half of us use our dogs for avatars! Which pooch?

Your's, JDarg. Your avatar poochy is so cute, I'm using him/her as my desktop wallpaper at work (in tiled format, so there's more of him/her!) He's become quite popular.
I have my own dog, too, but I think I'm falling in love with another.
What breed of dog is that?
That's so cute!!! We do love dogs around here!!! jdarg is one of our dog heroes...she has a new one!!! How is that pooch jdarg?

That's MacGregor- a mix. We got him at a shelter. They called him an Airedale mix. I think he is more of a Bearded Collie. Bdarg thinks he is a mini Otterhound. Look in my photo album - his new friend Fiona is similar- we brought her home Friday.
We have been without a dog since last April, and I was kind of enjoying the "freedom'. After seeing "Because of Winn Dixie", I wanted a dog like that. Turned out, Winn Dixie is not a mutt, but a Picard Shepherd (French herding dog), and only one breeder in the US that we could find. Puppies are $2000! Anyway, my family doublecrossed me and found a similar dog at a shelter, then they called me when a similar came in. If they call me again (and they have been warned not too! 😀 ), I will let you know!
