Wow!!! Just received our Beach Breeze! SoWal. com is featured on the front page of the "People, Places, Things" section, in an article titled "The Little Website That Could", written by Alicia Leonard!!!

Great pics- hey DD, your tattoo is featured. And the your SoWalled van. And pics of Greenroomsurfer's kids.

Congratulations Kurt!!

Yes, definitely a hot guy on the front page.;-)

A great day for SOWALLERS!

Yay aleonard.

You aren't going to abandon us now right?

Will someone please save a copy of this for me????????? Please!!!! I will retrieve it in July.

I am sure if AL wrote it, it is good.

Won't some of you nice people scan the cover so we can see who it is. That is my pouty face.

Great article! I am going to read it again before bed.

ALeonard was so right about SoWal- it has been a real community builder and is good "glue". SoWal was the starting "battle ground" and roundup for local issues (like the mentioned blue signs and Blithe). There is no other site like it- congrats Kurt on the "original" and the best.

And I saw this:

TDC TO REMOVE BIG BLUE SIGNS
Public pressure prompts pulldown.

Is it true????????

I thought there might be something in that thread. I just haven't had the time to read it...and I am too tired tonight as well. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks jdarg!

Yes, that is a bargain. I am going to get a subscription for sure.

Thanks guys but Daddy-o is the one who deserves the credit. He has made this site newsworthy. I got to meet him and his awesome family a little while back and I thought all the great quotes he gave me last week for the interview really made it such a positive piece. Daddy-o is

Also, I had no idea that was DD's van. I asked permission for some pics and grabbed a few off the homepage since that is what people will see when they sign on the first time. Don't beat me up DD :leaving:

It didn't have a user name attached on the home page so I have a feeling DD is gonna get a lot of honking and waving this week

That's pretty much a given anyway.

Do we get autographed copies, Lois Lane?
