OMG! This is the show with Pauly Shore as the host!
Really great pix and Pauly must've been in every one!

Mr. JR and I will love watching this since we can never get down for a visit.

Tonight at 8:30 central.

And the story about it in the paper and chef Johnny Earles of Criolla's come to the cottage to cook a meal, should be interesting to see.

So we just got done watching this and boy was it a hoot. Unfortunately the big blue Seaside sign made it on film. Some other highlights were Paul Shore calling Chef Johnny Earles Chef Boyardee :funn:. It pretty much showcased Seaside, until they wanted to go out to eat and went to Fish out of Water. Still not sure where they went to watch Alan Jackson :idontno:. Only a very few locals made it into any of the shots.

:wave: We watched it and really enjoyed it. Even Pauly Shore wasn't so bad.
The beach looked beautiful of course. They had a fabulous cottage right on the beach.

Oh, and I noticed the grotesque blue Seaside sign right away.

Who was the chick Pauly was eating snow cones with? Cute.

That wasn't a cheap meal either. 😱 Of course why you would take children to Fish out of Water is beyond me. I still have it on TiVo, gonna try to record it.

I wondered too where they went to see Alan Jackson.

I was thinking Dothan or something like that.

Definitely not a cheap meal, according to this article in their local newspaper that last meal cost $5000.

The show will be show again tomorrow at 1:30pm Eastern time.

Here is Pauly at Frost Bites. The plane and bus belonged to Alan Jackson.

Okay so it was in Florida. I'm curious where they are getting the $10 million figure for that house they stayed in?

Don't know either. When it sold, I think it listed for around 5 million. We were pretty disappointed. It was real fast and didn't show much of Seaside at all except for his snow cone at frost bites. Plus, he ripped everyone on the trip. Notr impressed with "The Weasel" at all. :idontno:

Hey, y'all know CMT?

Yes, that's Country Music Television, with all those videos coming at you from Music City, USA. It's the same channel where you can catch classic modern westerns like Clint Eastwood's "Unforgiven" if you tune in at the right time.

Well, get ready to watch Pauly Shore and some nice folks from Tennessee sharing fun and frolics on the Emerald Coast when "Paid Vacation" debuts at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

In early March, the Deas family from Murfreesboro, Tenn., spent a week at the Outside the Box Cottage owned by The Cottage Rental Agency at Seaside.

This program is a pilot produced by Taillight Productions, with the goal of having it picked up as a series by CMT. That could mean more episodes get produced here.

At this point, we could quote any number of local tourism professionals about the potential impact. But this one you can figure out for yourself. Viewers from all over America can start to figure out who and where we are, and what makes it all so special.

Tracy Louthain from the Beaches of South Walton and Jon Ervin from The Cottage Rental Agency were part of the brainstorming process when the producers decided they wanted to tape here.

"It was a wonderful opportunity to talk about all the authentic experiences they could have here," Louthain said. "Because along with the natural beauty, what we have to offer in this area is the people and experiences."

Our visiting family is Brad and Brandi Deas and their children: son Jackson, 11; daughter Lilly Belle, 9; daughter Cambell, 21 months; and son Cooper, 9 months.

Traveling and vacationing while a TV crew records most of what you're doing can prove a bit challenging. But that wasn't the only reason Brad Deas said this visit was much, much different than a weekend trip to Panama City several years ago.

Having chef Johnny Earles of Criolla's come to the cottage to display the skills that have made him famous was part of this experience.

"It was just unbelievable," was how Brad Deas summarized the week. "We would absolutely love to go back and visit. The people there were so nice and we've never seen anything like the beaches there."

Seaside Vacation

This is Brad Deas off of the TV show and I just wanted to say that the trip was fantastic and we had an absolute blast.
The people there were truly great and very hospitable individuals.
We would love to come back and vist in the future providing finances allow.
As you can imagine having 4 kids can be very restricting.

If any of you who read this live there or know someone who does then I envy you.
What a beautiful place.

Be safe and greetings from us all.

Howdy,

It looked like lots of fun, especially the Alan Jackson part. Many who post on here do live in the area, not necessarily at Seaside though.

And many like myself just visit as often as we can.

There are many wonderful places to stay, along 30-A that are not as expensive as Seaside, so if you decide to come back to the area on vacation be sure to ask around the website for suggestion.

I like your part of the country too, we are in Memphis and have come to many bowling tourneys up your way.

Thanks in advance.
