Ralph is going to be pasing up a storm tomorrow. I bet by 10:00 pm tomorrow night he will have already smoked about 4 cigars and started on another! He's finished boys.

I can only hope. With all the robocalls to people who don't even know tomorrow is the primary, the uninformed may just vote for Ralph since he is the incumbant. Everyone, down on your knees and pray!

Those of us who have lived south of the bay before Ralph can remember when we had no protection and run away corruptness in the sheriffs department. You may not like Ralph but at least he has done his job to protect and serve and that is what we are paying him to do.

We are not paying him to be a public speaker, or an accountant, or an HR person. We are paying him to run a sheriffs department that serves the people and he has done that to the fullest.

Unfortunately, our memories are short! Ask yourself am I safer today than I was eight years ago and you know the answer is YES!

I am proud that I have decided to vote for Ralph Johnson tomorrow, it is still not to late for you. Don't buy into the big money!

Wow, you RJ Supporters are hard core! I chose to have public safety and my hard earned tax dollars accounted for, and the employees of the department treated with respect. That' why I have ALREADY voted for and LIKE MIKE!

I don't know if I feel safer, but I DO know I am appalled by the MANY issues I am constantly hearing about.

Your candidate, Ralph, just got two additional fines $$ $$ from the IRS for being a complete and utter failure in the financial department. Thanks for spending our tax dollars and fines as opposed to training, education and partnerships.

As I said in earlier posts another financial screw up by this administration. Who are you going to blame this time?

I spent the weekend at our condo at Miramar this weekend, and there are political signs all over 98. I just wonder when the candidates get beat will they pick their signs up.

I was at the redlight at CVS pharmacy Sunday am, and observed a candidate get out and place a political sign on the right-of-way on hwy 98.

He made a point of placing a sign beside his opponents sign. What really surprised me was he didn't just place one, but several all over S. Walton Sunday am.

The question I have is......On Scenic 98 and the side streets to Hwy 98 the population is mostly tourist, so what will the candidates gain by plastering signs all over the place?


I have just completed a poll. I cannot show it to you, nor can I tell you who ran it (opps, I guess I just did). Either way the results of the poll show the following:

29% say Adknison should pick up all the signs.
19% say Adkinson and Johnson should pick up all the signs.

50% say all the other candidates (except Cornman 'cause he doesn't live here) will pick up the signs regardless of who wins... That's all folks.:shock:

This would have been a great story for a paper to jump on. Apparently, they are content with just waiting for a disgruntled candidate (or henchmen) to drop a juicy story in their lap, which is not good business, as they have learned. I will keep Watching and report any "other" interesting news...

The position of Sheriff covers ALL of Walton County. Why should South Walton be the focus for a Sheriff? Are the gangs acting up again? Or, are the tourists smoking too much dope? Seriously, why should South Walton be a focus for a Sheriff? Obviously, South Walton is more densely populated than much of the remainder of Walton County, and South Walton brings in many tourists, but South Walton is only a part of a rather large area of land known as Walton County.

Watcher, do you have evidence to back up the $$$$ charge?????

I don't have a link for the recent IRS fines, but the mishandling of payroll tax payments did incur large fines/penalities that the taxpayers footed the bill for and that they ran stories on.

I believe it was around $20K, but an not definite on that number.

Edit: This is a thread about the earlier financial issues - rereading it I hope whoever gets elected Sheriff hires a bookkeeper who knows basic accounting:
