The Sixties beats the heck out of the Fifties, but I adore the Eighties.

We are going to the new aquarium in Atlanta today. If not we would burn the road up to get there. Take pictures and report back, please! :clap_1:

The SIXTIES? When I saw the thread, I thought it would be about the 60's DECADE.

I was a child of the sixties. Kurt, you were born in the (late) sixties, right? The Funns were only a twinkle in their parent's eyes in the sixties.

I'll definately take the 00's (today) over the sixties.

Temperature-wise, today the sixties would be awesome....it's in the teens in the Steel City!!!!!!!!

In the interest of full disclosure, I was logged on as GYPSEA instead of the CAP'N. The last post was mine.

Kurt, you are a big tease. It's only 35 degrees here! I see from the Walton Sun newspaper that the sunsets are getting later and later each day, too. It makes for a fine Panhandle winter. :clap_1:

Can't wait to see it! They said on the ATL news this AM that they have already had 1/2 million visitors since it opened in November. Just the acrylic wall on the tank cost $5 million.

It was awesome! Very crowded today and I am still a little draggy. If you could plan a weekday visit that would probably be less crowded. We are going again next month on a Thursday. There is ample parking in the adjacent parking deck as well. The pop-up lots are charging more than the deck. If you get your tickets on line it saves on the line time. We ordered our passes on line but they never sent us the ticket with the bar code, added about 40 minutes to the second line we stood in.

The acrylic wall was something! The Ocean Voyage was our favorite exhibit! We'll post some pics later. Baby C is going with us next month! :clap_1:
