DeFUNIAK SPRINGS ? Police arrested an elusive prostitute - perhaps the city's first - after a "two-month undercover operation" around town, investigators said Wednesday.
"As far as I know, that's the first one the city has ever done," said police Lt. Greg Gandy.
The 29-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after an investigator caught up with her around South 11th Street and Baldwin Avenue. He was wearing a wire when she offered sex acts for money, police said.
Officers had been after her for months, as several local businesses reported a prostitute soliciting their employees. But "each time that the police were notified that she was openly soliciting, she would immediately disappear... and pop up again in a few days in another part of the city," said Capt. Mark Weeks.
She was charged Tuesday for solicitation of prostitution and for procuring prostitutes - because "she not only offered... herself, but she offered to take him to another one to double up," Gandy said. The charges were misdemeanors.
"We'll get the other one later," he added.

A video would be considered rare footage. They could be like the giant squid where you only see them when they wash up on the beach. Maybe the ladies of the evening are throwing a curveball and operating at mid-day. :scratch: Or maybe everything is free in DeFuniak, that's another possibility. You can best find them using a device known as the erectometer.
