Carpenter ants - bleccch!!

(kurt - please move this if it is in the wrong place). just discovered SWARMING carpenter ants yesterday - the bug man identified them and treated for them today. bleccch! there were HUNDREDS of the buggers, which got in via a small crack under a first floor window. i will have nightmares about them tonight. beware of what you think are ordinary flying ants. thanks thanks thanks to bryan pest control for taking care of everything - even vacuuming them up!! :clap:

The big black ants? I have some, but not an infestation. No problems at all.....they don't destroy anything, right? Just hang out and like wood, thus carpenter ants. Now carpenter bees are another thang! Glad you got rid of yours....

No no - they can damage wood - not as bad as termites, but bad enough. they had to inject stuff into the walls to kill them. ugh.

Carpenter ants eat termites. We do a termite treatment every 5 years. Probably a good idea to protect your investment.
