During our visit in August, our family was fortunate to see the two manatees patroling along the beach. My husband swears that a few years ago, while out in the kayak in some pretty rough water, he saw a seal. Has anyone ever saw anything like this before? Our sighting of the manatees brought back the topic, and he swears what he saw was not a manatee, but a seal. Just curious.

he still swears that what he saw was a seal. We were there shortly after a hurricane, can't remember which right now, but I thought that maybe one had escaped from an aquarium during the storm. Who knows, maybe it was a mermaid!
