I have been an amateur genealogist since 1978. My mother's side of the family were WARDs, BAKERs, NICHOLS, MORRISONs all with Walton Co. ties and easily qualifying as Pioneers. My 3rd great grandfather Starkes BAKER served in the 4th U. S. Infantry Regiment and was with Gen. Andrew Jackson during the 1st Seminole War and was part of his forces in the capture of Pensacola in 1818. Needless to say, I have also become very interested in the history of W. FL. 😀
Born in Pensacola, grew up in Gulf Breeze, and have lived in a suburb of Dallas, TX since 1966.

KurtAdminSoWal2,472 postsJoined View profileMessageAdminHi Ron. What's up Cousin? I have Walton County family going back 150 years and every body was married to every body back then. You had to ride a few miles to get a date outside the family. They got tired of the ride so they made a new family.
