Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all the people who provide such valuable information on here! I am grateful for this site. It is wonderful to be able to rely on all the people who know so much about the area. Besides the obvious beauty of the area, we love the people. We will be there July 10th for our 4th summer vacation to SoWal & we cannot wait! 😀

Thank you, Gidget! It's so nice to be welcomed by locals when I know it can be quite a pain when we all crowd your beaches & streets! 🙂 I live in an area that is inundated with tourists during the summer & sometimes it is bothersome to deal with the extra traffic, etc. But we love the tourists who come to enjoy our rivers & Schlitterbahn!

I've been to Schlitterbahn! Great water park! 😀

I'm a newbie local. Moved to Destin last July while we built out here @ Blue Mtn Beach. Just moved into our home in March. First official summer as a "local" - sounds nice!

I love seeing people enjoy the beaches!
