Wondering about that too. Also about the large area that was cleared a few months ago off 283S??

It is a Chelco power substation or some such facility being built on an easement.

It sure would have been nice for them to have left a buffer of trees.

Um, so why can they build it in the state forest? :idontno:

...because there was an existing easement that until recently had never been cleared.

Believe me I'd rather have the trees, but I bet this easement has been around for a long long time...

Agreed. Maybe it will get some landscaping upon completion. Just glad it isn't a Taco Bell.

I just love it when they raze nature in order to properly landscape. Lets get some of those Bloom Boxes and be done with it!

I don't think utility companies do any landscaping. Unless you count stumps, logs, signs, posts, pipes, flags, poles, fluorescent tape, transformers . . .

Probably just have a big fence around it like all the others.

[B]Well Funny you should mention this, I have an inside source that has stated that TWO Waffle Houses are coming to the area.
One over in the area round the Terrace at Inlet and one somewhere on 98 in Santa Rosa Beach.

Maybe an I-Hop would be okay, but a Waffle House?! Ick. :puke:

Waffle Houses up here in Atlanta are way way better than they used to be once the law that prohibits smoking in a restaurant was passed. They are far too small to have allowed smoking.

I don't know that Florida has that law. If they do, bring it on. If they don't I won't ever eat there unless it's empty...

Nun-Ya, have you heard anything about the Waffle House in PCB at 79 and Back Beach Road? In passing by there a few times over the past week or so, I did not see any activity there.

Does anybody know why they have been clearing a large square of the Pt Washington State Forest just north of Publix--hope they are not selling off state land.:idontno:
