David J. Kramer Sr.
DAVID KRAMER is 60 years young. Reared in the Midwest until his family moved to Florida's Space Coast in 1966. Attended Brevard Comm College, Univ of S Fl and FSU (Political Science & Business). Father: E.C. Kramer -"rocket scientist" and college professor (Washington Univ). Mother: I.M. Kramer - Webster College grad (English major), Homemaker, Nurse & Teacher.
Best Memories: Dad taught me I could do anything, be anything, always research before you open your mouth & taught me to hunt, fish, camp & how to start a fire with just one match in all weather conditions. Mom: taught me the use of language, etiquette, manners & posture. When I misbehaved in my youth I was tasked to stand in a corner WITH an unabridged dictionary in my hands and would be allowed my freedom when I could be tested on the definition, spelling and pronunciation of all words on the 2 pages picked for each 'offense'. You learn a lot when you are the oldest of 4 siblings.
Family: Single Parent of 1 Daughter; Katherine Kramer who will attend NW FL State Univ in Niceville, DFS &/or SW. PROFESSIONAL: Lifeguard & Red Cross Water Safety Instuctor through the college years and taught kids to swim up to 2005. Asst auto Mechanic for Sears and Mercedes-Benz (hence his passion & collection for Vintage and Hot Rod vehicles). 1973-80 started his 1st business Investment Maint Services, built 30+ FHA/VA homes as Const Supt, Trained as Maint tech for Monumental Properties of Baltimore (became lead troubleshooting tech for all Florida properties) and Quality Control Supv and Maint Supv over Triple T Inns Oceanfront Resort (managed 3 shifts of personnel @ 300 rm hotel, 2 restaruants & 3 lounges). 1981- Moved to Panama City to work as Govt Contractor on Tyndall AFB (Top SEC Clearance). Moved to PC Beach in 1982 to manage 3 condo projects rentals & maint - some under construction. 1984 - Started work & living in Walton County. Real Estate management and sales. 1984 - present - Florida Real Estate Broker, Property Manager and Real Estate Service company owner. Real Estate Investor: own 30+ properties all over Walton County.

Since 1984 when he started living in Walton County David Kramer has ATTENDED OVER 300 BCC MEETINGS! That is in addition to all the Planning Commission meetings, Workshops, Variance board meetings, Scenic Corridor Board Meetings and Technical review Committee meetings.
PERSONAL: David Kramer has been playing Chess since he was 8 years old. He also is an avid Scrabble, Baggammon, Spades, Pinnocle, Auwari, checkers and poker player. Hobbies: fishing for lunker bass and 50"+ redfish; all watersports (Certified SCUBA diver) & boating; Antique vehicle restoration and 'muscle cars'; riding my Harleys; surfing (since 1966); hiking/biking; gardening; boating & canoeing/kayaking; and new hobbies everyday.
Goals: "Well, 'retirement' is on the horizon or so one would think... but I cannot see a day in my future without 'work'. I enjoy my family and friends but work sustains my energy and new experiences feed my mind and my need for learning and growth. I've always known that one day I would run for public office. I did not have the opportunity to serve in the Military like my father and brother. I learned that I have rights and freedoms insured by those rights. What I also learned about is DUTY. If you complain about govenment you better vote and be ready to back you views with action. It is my duty to offer to serve the people that help to insure my rights and freedoms. It's certainly not about the money they pay commissioners. I've always told my child that..."it's about the person and the policies.." It's never about 'Parties'. Sure I registered and participated in both the Republican and Democratic Parties. I gave my time and my energy to make things more equitable and to protect those rights and freedoms every chance I got...but now - well - it's NOT about the 'PARTY' - our coutry and even our county has gotten too 'partisan'. Get to know me - the man - the person - I am a fiscal conservative that wants to 'grow jobs' CALL ME - LET'S TALK 850-267-3464/W OR 850-585-8337/CELL - THANKS!"

Funny how polls work, Sara keeps her seat and a one in five margin of sanity to the BCC!
