The way the weather has been this winter, our first week of vacaction may have to be cancelled due to making up snow days. We lose half of our deposit (I'm assuming we'd lose half since we're renting two weeks). If they find someone to rent it, then we get most of our deposit back. We should know by mid Feb. whether to cancel:-(
We are already heading into the week of June 6th for school's last day. In Eastern KY, some school districts have cancelled Spring Break because they have missed 20 days so far. And local meterologists are talking about the biggest snow yet next Tues./Wed.
So this weather could mean cancellations or later reservations/business for you guys down there because of longer school year and some Spring Break vacancies too.

Any loss-mit alternatives for trading out to different/later weeks?

Our count is up to 5 missed days. 6 inches of snow predicted for Wed. Looks like we might have to move our normal Memorial Day week also.
Might hit 60 here by the end of next week. Looking good so we might have dodged the bullet. We're actually going to try Spring Break in April - just one more time. Maybe they would give us something for having booked several times. Also, our house is a wonderful find so maybe it wouldn't be that hard to book if we had to cancel the first week. Love staying for two weeks. That first Friday, when you're normally so bummed you can't enjoy the night, but because you're staying it's incredible...Ellen
