o.k., I'm a new "resident" of SoWal, so I'm coming to you guys for help.... on several matters actually. This time it's on permits for our dogs. We are homeowners, not ft residents, and plan on bringing our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to the beach with us when we come into town. I don't even know if sand, water, and our two dogs will be a good mix (they don't care much for Lake Lanier). But, it is my understanding we need to get permits for them if we want to take them onto the beach. Is this correct? And if so, where do we get them?

the only negative is that the permits run August to August. Even if you get it today you will still have to renew in three months.
