Western Lake in Grayton Beach

Is Western Lake open to the ocean in Grayton Beach? Last year when I was there they were closing it off due to the oil spill...just wondering! The whole family is coming down next week to enjoy the beatiful beaches and great fishing. 😀

The berms between the lakes and the gulf have been removed but the Western Lake outflow is not open to the gulf at the moment. Enjoy your trip!

thanks! I love to put the kayak in at the dock and paddle out to the ocean but I may have to drag it to the ocean this year.

Just be careful when you hit I-10. :lol:

If you mean the gulf, go ahead and paddle. The outlet will take you within 50 feet of the gulf.
