Is the water as brown right now as it looks on webcams?

Hello SoWal folks,

I'm headed down to Seaside the first week of October and have been stalking SoWal's webcams every day, the water looks very brown compared to past visits when I've been there in March and April. Is it really looking like that right now or is that a quirk of the webcams/lighting? Doesn't matter really as I'm coming down no matter what color it is, but was just curious.

Right now on BMB it looks pretty brown and icky. I haven't looked this morning but it doesn't take long for it to change back to normal, as a rule.

Thanks Andy! I live in Colorado so don't understand ocean patterns too well LOL.

So was my husband! We live in Denver now, in a new urbanist neighborhood designed by the same firm that designed Seaside (DPZ). Crazy small world.
