[TD="colspan: 1, align: left"] Beginning January 1, 2010, Florida has new requirements to obtain a new driver license or identification card. If you are renewing your Florida driver license, you will also need these new required documents. Once you become Real ID Complaint you will receive a driver license with a gold star at the end of your driver license number. Here is a list of the new required documents: 1. Identification:

• Certified U.S. birth certificate or
• Valid U.S. passport

2. Social Security Number:

• Social Security card
• *Please be aware if you have a name change, you must change it will the Social Security office first before you get your driver license.

3. Residential Address: Dated within the last 60 days

• Deed, mortgage, payment booklet, or rental agreement,
• Florida vehicle registration or title,
• Utility bill or hookup/work order, or
• Statement from person you live with along with two address documents in that person's name.

4. Name change (if applicable):

• Original or certified copy of all marriage certificates or court orders that show your name change(s). Uncertified copies are NOT valid.
