Cindy the perfect Storm? I checked out Dune Allen, Grayton, And Seaside. Lots of sand is back on the beach! It looks like Seaside has gained a couple of feet, and all the clay is nearly covered.

The water came up to the boardwalks but not into the dunes to speak of - just the right amount of force - no walkover damage.

If the County had been on the ball and had gotten everything cleaned up since T.S. Arlene, we'd be in great shape now. As it is, much of the debris from Arlene has been scattered and/or buried.

Wow Kurt. That's great! We were in Seacrest a week after Arlene and it was nearly as bad as Seaside. What encouraging photos; it's nice to know some good can come out of these storms too.

drag that stacked wood in the picture toward the middle of the beach, add a few more from the trash piles, douse em with some gasoline, light em up and tap a minimum of 8 kegs - great recipe for a hurricane dennis party - the hangover alone will make dennis seem like a hiccup

oh botheration! im gonna miss the hurricane sine i have to go to hawaii to help study sea turtle migration!

really need a tongue in cheek icon right here but there just aint one

Kurt, your photos put mine to shame.
Here is one of Grayton taken this afternoon. In my photo album, you will find more from today, taken in Grayton Beach and Seaside.

Looks like Western Lake inlet at Grayton Beach. That'd be my guess anyway.

Off Eastern Lake Road.

I can't imagine what the beaches will look like if we get hit again with Dennis.:(

Exactly. I could just throw up - stressed to the aleph-null power.

I totally understand! I can't seem to get any work done for checking on updates on the storm. It is the waiting that makes you crazy. Where is your property?

On Tuesday night, the lowest step of the walkover at Gulfview Heights was easily 18 inches above the level of the sand. At 3pm yesterday, the lower step was mostly buried. TS Cindy brought at least 18 inches of sand onshore.
Unfortunately, Dennis looks like it might take it right back especially since we'll be on the east side of the storm which pushes water onshore. Time to board up, my friends.

To lollygal - off Eastern Lake.

To Santa Rosa Pete - we got a plus on the horizontal beach with additional white sand from Cindy, although vertically we lost sand on the dunes. Like I said in another post, all moot with D#n@is approaching.

We have property in Dunes Estates off of Lakewood Drive. We are on the eastern side of Eastern Lake.
