I have a daughter in kindergarten that loves to draw and sing, and she's really good at both. Is there anything in the sowal area that I can get her involved in? The best I've been able to find was a class at a Kindermusik in Panama City Beach, but that's just too much driving for us on a week night. I've thought about voice, piano or guitar lessons, but I think she'd do better in a group activity right now. Do you local folks have any ideas? We've only been down here for a year and a half, and lived in Crestview for a year of that time. So we have no idea what's available.

I'm bumping this thread since we are soon to be in the same situation. Art classes would be great, also some kind of movement (ballet, kid yoga, tumbling). Thanks!

I can recommend US Gold Gymnastics. My daughter is is a tumbling class at US Gold Gymnastics in Destin, and she also frequents their Kids Night Out on friday nights from 6:30-10:00pm. We've heard good things about Dance Elite, also in Destin, behind the Walmart.
Kids yoga would be fun! My wife has been doing yoga at the beach and yoga at Grayton Beach Fitness. The problem is that most kids wouldn't stay focused that long to get through a good yoga session.

You might want to talk with "Ms Art" (Constance Rogers), the art teacher at Butler for ideas for art. She and her husband teach an art class during the summer, that my daughter loved. Her husband is a yoga instructor too.
There is a dance studio on 98 near the post office called "Jasimine Dance". She teaches ballet, jazz, hip hop.

We're planning on talking with Mrs. Art at the School Open House that's coming up. My daughter has art class with her every wednesday.
Thanks for the other info!

What about Girl Scouts???:idontno:
I am going to be the Daisy Girl Scout troop leader this year. 😱
We will meet at the Rosemary Mont. School every other Mon.
Tuesday Sept. 5 we have registration from 3:30 - 5:00. This should be something that she would like to do. We would love to have her.
PM me if you (or anyone else) is interested.
My daughter (kindergarten) plays soccer with the pcb league. We play and practice at Frank Brown Park.
