Good news from a county program

I am posting this here since this occurred at a Walton County Rec League program sponsored by the County.

Sometimes something happens that just restores your faith in your community and fellow man. This morning I had such an event. After calling a 5&6 year old basketball game at Emerald Coast Middle School one of the players walked up to me at the scorers table, stuck out his hand to shake mine and said "Thank you for coming to help with our game this morning Mr. Referee." That made my morning. I don't know who he was or who his parents are, but they are doing something right and are raising a fine young man.
