This is the County wanting bids for the forest road. Conservative estimates put the new connector road at minimum of $10-12 million not including mitigation land.

Or please click the link and let them know you are in support of the road provided it is done environmentally responsible with NO further development.

The owner of Bud and Alleys is the primary behind this. He has to work behind the scenes since he's reversing his stance of 40+ years. He didn't even have the balls to speak at the initial meeting and paid an engineer thousands of dollars to read a prepared statement.

Remember that the next time you want to go to Bud and Alleys or Black Bear anything.

I have already sent in my comments against this. It is state property and was bought for preservation. The damage this will do to the forest is alot worse than some folks on 30A having to drive a mile or so to the next connector road. It is a ploy for St. Joe to pump even more folks to 30A. It will NOT relieve any traffic woes those people have. If St.Joe wants another connector road they can just use the Camp Creek golf course for one.

I agree about protecting state lands but I don't think St. Joe cares about the new road. Watersound Pkwy fills their needs.

NO!

Cutting a state forest habitat in half and responsible can't be in the same sentence.

I don't know that he's behind that, but his been pushing the forest road for some reason.

I bet half the people complaining live in one of the watercolor developments or rosemary.I think they had more impact than any cut through road.

No to another road through the state forest. I understand the frustration of working folks who have to deal with the traffic on a daily basis, but I don't think another road will help.

The proposed road isn't for everyday working folks. It's so some rich folks can shave five minutes off dropping their kids at school.

Also for safety. It could save lives in an emergency.
