hi all,

not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i'd like to share a little exercise that i have been working on for the past 8 months called augustradio.

no. it doesn't have sound, but it does have photos.

in fact, it has a new one everyday, 7 days a week, rain or shine. i take them all myself and they are typically images of the things that i find interesting in the world along the emerald coast.

the daily image can be found @ www.augustradio.com where i post one image at a time before changing it out each day.

if you'd like you can also subscribe for free to have it delivered straight to your inbox. it's alot easier for people this way and i have been getting some great responses from both local and non local subscribers. (i even have international subscribers!)

if you would like a preview of some of what i have posted at augustradio, you can go to www.augustbach.com where i have been putting together a more comprehensive selection of the daily entries.

here are a few recent selections...
western lake panorama
channel
low tide
aubade
sperrys

the first goal with augustradio has been to re-stretch my creative abilities while making the leap from film to digital. all of the images have been shot with a standard point and shoot camera, but don't let that fool you. i have been amazed at the quality that can be drawn from even the simplest of digital cameras.

the second goal with augustradio has been to build a series of work to show at the conclusion of one year and to offer prints of selected limited edition works to interested parties as well as to promote my work to potential collectors and venues.

i hope that you will join me in this exercise and perhaps you might even make a small donation to help me along the way as i continue to work daily. it's not at all required, but every bit helps. all interests and inquiries appreciated and forwarded.

thank you for your consideration.

sincerely,
august bach

Wow!

Neat idea, and I admire your discipline in following through with your goal...

I LOVE your photographs, the composition, lighting and sometimes painterly quality of them... Beautiful.

I'm constantly amazed by the level of talent and creativity I've encountered around here, in many forms. We are so lucky...

Very impressive. I'd love to see the originals, so keep me posted if you exhibit in the SoWal area. You are inspiring and your exercise has made me stop and take notice, once again, of the beauty we see every day. How wonderful for you to record each day......talk about "stop and smell the roses!"

thanks all...i appreciate the encouragement!

i forgot to mention that contributors of 50 dollars or more automatically receive a signed and numbered print of "studio broom" on professional quality photo stock. it's one of my personal favorites. (limited edition of 100)

contributors of 100 or more recieve one of 25, 16x8 numbered and signed limited edition prints of the western lake photo.

all contributors are noted on the daily mailings as a way of showing my appreciation and to bring attention to the folks who support the formative arts in our area. businesses are also encouraged.

all images are also available for printing, and i have been known to substitute others for contributors when requested. available prints can be viewed @ www.augustbach.com

any daily can be printed on demand if you see one of the daily images that you like as well.

thanks again for your support and encouragement.
