Alaqua needs new Gate Entry

The main entrance gate at Alaqua is in great need of improvement. Although the actual gates themselves can be salvaged, they are held together by a bungee cord! The gates remain shut when the refuge is closed to the public, however, the volunteer dog walkers have to constantly maneuver through the gate when walking dogs back and forth, which can be especially difficult when walking more than one dog. It's also wasting time when you play gatekeeper to the vehicles that are going back and forth.

The ideal situation would be to mechanize the gate and have a gate code, plus have a seperate pedestrian gate to the side for the dog walkers.

Any ideas on who to contact for help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Try contacting Handyman Connection. They are a good company and I understand they do some charity work. you may be able to get a discount. They're number is 622-5262.
