It seems as Saban was suppose to pull rabbits out of his hat the very first year on the job. Who does that? It will take a year or two for him to show what he can do. He has shown this before... he will again. Maybe even more than we think.

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade. You know there is no bigger UA fan than me. I'm as excited as you are. Just trying to maintain some perspective.

Recruiting is very...subjective. Case in point, FSU (all due respect to the nole fans here). They sign a top-five class most every year, but I haven't seen them in a BCS game in awhile.

It will be interesting to see how many of these signees will be in UA's two-deep next year. My guess is quite a few. So don't expect miracles right away. 2009, however, could be very, very fun.

This is true.

We didn't get top five this year, but several comments have come out of Tallahassee that, instead of focusing on four-and-five star players (as everybody knows, we've had really bad luck with a couple of "Mr. Football"s), we need youngsters who honestly want to come to FSU, be good citizens, and do well.

Congrats to Bama! I didn't realize y'all got the #1 class! 😀 Folks down here are talking like Miami did. :bang:
