Indianapolis Hosts the Next Super Bowl!

I'll take you up on that, but do I have to watch football?

Only the commercials.

I am hoping that TTF will come to Indy again, seeing that we couldn't even take her out to dinner the last time (because we were on our way to to SoWal ).

Ok, then, you've got a deal.
Too bad you missed her. Maybe she'll make it back your way.

The lights went on the stadium only a few days ago. It's one beautiful building and man o man, it is HUGE!! (big enough for a Super Bowl crowd )

Will Janet Jackson be invited to bethe halftime show?

I am sure they will nip that in the bud. ;-)

Mermy, I love how you are getting all excited about football!

I still don't understand the game even though everyone tries to explain it to me, but I like what football does to a community. You should have been in Indianapolis when the Colts were on their way to winning the Super Bowl--there was so much excitement in the air and people were so happy and nice and the community spirit was amazing. It was a fantastic feeling to be part of it all!! And now it's happening all over again. Really, everyone who comes to my city to see the game will have the best best time. We know how to roll out the welcome mat.

I vote for Tom Petty again. Best halftime show ever.

I just want all you wonderful SoWallers to know that if you come to my city for the Super Bowl, me casa es su casa!!!!

Wonderful! Now I just need the Steelers to get there & some tickets!

Actually the next Super Bowl is in Tampa...but congrats on getting Super Bowl XLVI in 2012. Just wanted to make sure people didn't show up at your door next year.

I wondered who the brave soul would be to post this.
And it's your first post too!
.

I don't believe Mermy indicated what year for the Superbowl in Indy- she was just announcing that Indy finally got it!

Mermy- get on the volunteer list now- the work for 2012 has already started! (I know this because a good friend was on the Jax Superbowl board)

Congrats and I hope the home team is there for an appearance.

What a show that would be, love the Colts and Peyton of course.
