I really don't know why Tennessee would have locked themselves into Fulmer through 2014. I don't see that as a good business decision especially with the current coaching changes. I believe the wheels could fall off rather quickly and it could be another Johnny Majors situation where Tennessee doesn't know when to say enough is enough.
By the way, I know he just won the SEC east, graduates players, wins 9-10 games a year and does fairly well in bowl games. But, it has been more then 10 years since the NC.
Anyone else have thoughts in this decision?

As a Alum, sure everyone wants the NC, but only one team gets that and many fall way short.
And there are many, many schools who do not come close to this record you stated. I am ok with it.
