For anyone looking for something very different to do (and for a very good cause) this Saturday, August 16 at 7:30pm - Jimmi wZ is performing with the Monkey Dust Transcendental Orchestra at Flutes & Vegetables in Ponce de Leon. It is a little bit of a drive (1 mile north of I-10, exit 96, Hwy 81 North) but well worth it for a show out of the ordinary. Proceeds collected will go to Journey Into Hope, a charitable foundation dedicated to improving the health and living conditions of the desperately poor. For more information please call Flutes & Vegetables at 850-836-9996

What is monkey dust?

I believe that it has a similar meaning to juju, mojo, gri gri and things like that. A harmless word used in a funky mixed band of drummers, vocalists, poets, flutist, rain sticks, and all kind of musical oddities.

Monkey Dust is a British animated TV series that satirises the darker side of life in the United Kingdom. It deals with taboo subjects and has drawn controversy for its portrayal of murderers and paedophiles.

'Monkey Dust' is a feast of sick animation, with sketches concerning a sad-eyed man who tells wide tales about where he's been, when he's actually been doing something muckily sexual; a reality-TV series called 'People on the Toilet', where the star eventually becomes a big big star and candidate for Pope; and other such things. There's plenty of black humour, violence, and wife-swapping which turns into cannibalism.

Might want to inform the Wz.

I'll let him know. I guess he's not from the U.K. I've never heard of that show before.
