Hey folks, my fam and I will be moving back down after a long (13 year) adventure in the west. Looking to see if there are any cyclists (road or MTB) around, or dare i ask organized rides etc. Thanks!

Try calling or stopping in Robin's bicycles in Miramar Beach west of the outlet mall. I know at one time there was a group ride out of there.
A little further out, there's Emerald Coast Cyclists based out of Niceville:

And Dragon Sports in Ft. Walton Beach tends to have some group rides:

As long as you're finishing up as the tourists as waking up, 30-A is generally safe and rideable year-round.
For mountain-biking, there's Timberlake Trails north of Ft. Walton Beach (get an Eglin rec pass from the Jackson Guard office in Niceville before riding there). The SoWal state forests are pretty bikeable when it's not hunting season, but they're pretty flat even by Florida standards.
Note with the cyclists down here: they do tend to skew to triathletes.

There is a pack that rides 30A on the weekends and some other days. You could easily flag them down. When I want to mtn bike I load it up and head to Wetumpka or Birmingham, Al. Down here it is more like sand bogging. It is fun in a pinch butr there are no amazing downhills to make it all worthwhile.

Big Daddy's
Stop by Big Daddy's Bikes on 30A and ask about group rides that are loosely organized. It is mostly triathletes, but a few rides on 30A and you'll also meet plenty of bikers.
Welcome to the area!

Cyclists
Robinsbikes.com ..... I believe they ride (organized) three days a week.
They ride out here every Saturday morning from just west of Sandestin where Robins shop is for coffee, cookies and a hug!
They are a great group I'm sure you would enjoy riding w/them.

Here's a link to the Point Washington State Forest maps. They are old but you get the idea.
click the orge buttons at the bottom of the page and the maps appear.
Longleaf Pine Greenway
Panama City has a bike club. They sponsor several rides a year. Juda at Big Daddy's is active in this group.
