Seahawks Boys Basketball going to Regionals!

Here's an update on the District Playoffs this past weekend:

On Friday, the Seahawks defeated their cross-county rivals, Walton High School, 67-60 in an overtime nailbiter. It was a real comeback story, as the Seahawks lagged behind until the last few seconds, when a layup by Dylan Smith tied the game and sent it to overtime. Once in the overtime, the Seahawks took the lead and never let up. This is the first time in school history that the Seahawk Boys have beaten Walton! They played with real heart and gave their fans an amazing night of basketball! Way to go boys!

On Saturday, the Seahawks played for the District Championship against Pensacola Catholic. It was a valient effort by the Seahawks, but they were not in "their groove" and lost a close game 43-51.

Nevertheless, as District Runners-Up, they secured a seat in the Regional Tournament this week. They play Marianna High School at Marianna on Thursday night in the Regional Quarterfinals.

Good Luck and Go Seahawks!
