The Theatre Project at South Walton presents "Seussical the Musical", by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, based on the works of Theodore "Dr. Seuss" Geisel, 7 p.m. on April 22, 23, and 24 at the South Walton High School auditorium. SWHS's spring musical is directed by Don Goodrum, musical direction by Latilda Hettinger, and choreographed by Valerie Theobald.
"Seussical" has been a massive undertaking for us this year and the cast and crew has risen to the challenge of it's music, choreography and staging, time and time again", said director Goodrum. "Featuring the Dr. Seuss characters we all grew up with, The Cat in the hat, Horton the Elephant, the Grinch, Yertle the Turtle, and many more, this is truly a labor of love for all of us; a timeless classic to be loved and enjoyed by children of all ages."
The show stars Kaylyn Carter as the Cat in the Hat, Grayson Gilbert as Horton the Elephant, and Lucy Livingston as Gertrude McFuzz, and also starring Eddie Kalil, Katie Burns, Valerie Theobald, Kayla Scheler, Andrew Roberts, Jacob Scheler, Devin Dodson, Summer Hatcher, Caroline Crowley, ALexa Hayes, Amber Queen, Amber Smith, Brianna West, Deni Avelar, and Tammy Nguyen.
Tickets are available at the door and are $7 for adults, $5 for students, and children under age 5 are free.
