The Merchants of Seaside are excited to present Dave Barnes, live and in concert in Saturday, May 29th as part of the Memorial Day Weekend Celebration. Dave will take the stage in the Amphitheater at 7PM.
Born in South Carolina, singer, songwriter, and guitarist Dave Barnes was raised in Mississippi, where he was initially attracted to hip-hop, but was also exposed to classic soul, blues, and R&B by his parents. Now Nashville-based, Barnes is quickly becoming one of the best known performers in America with his irresistibly catchy, hook-filled melodies and blue eyed soul arrangements/production.
Recently Dave spent time touring with the likes of John Mayer, Taylor Swift, Bonnie Raitt and Los Lonley Boys, and is now headlining some of the most well respected music venues in the country in Atlanta, Boston, New York & Los Angeles.
Don't miss this show. He's selling out major music venues across the country and you have the chance to see him for free in the beautiful, outdoor setting of Seaside. Is this concert free, open to the public? I haven't been able to find an admission fee.

Yes, the whole series is free!
(Though technically you pay for it with the 1% tax on anything you buy in Seaside.)
Yes Fanceenan, Scooterbug44 is correct, the entire Seaside Summer Concert Series, including the Dave Barnes show on Saturday, May 29th, is free and open to all. Nearly all of the events and programs at Seaside are funded by the 1% arts and entertainment fee collected by The Merchants of Seaside.
We hope to see you this summer in Seaside! For more info, check us out online at: Seaside, FL | More than a way of life, a way of living! or follow us on Facebook: Seaside | Facebook

Do you need a good laugh on this Friday? Take 8 minutes and check out this HILARIOUS video of our friend Dave Barnes in the "Dave Barnes Christmas Extravagan Za" this past December. It made us fall out of our chair. I'm sure he'll bring the funny on Saturday night too!
