Fun outdoor cocktail party! I hope they have great weather, lots of bourbon and NO injured horses!

We are unbelievably out of bourbon. And I have a whiskey barrel full of mint.
We won't be able to watch live this year- prom pictures start at 5. It looks like post time is at 6:28 EST.
I have to say I really haven't been paying attention this year- while all my Louisville friends have been watching the Derby weather forecast all week and worrying about fashionable wet weather footwear, I have been looking at maps of the oil spill.:(
Ya know, I think we may need the bourbon here more than in KY!!
A first for me- saw a Derby hat made of Legos- check out the hat picture galleries on www.courier-journal.com. Much more fun than the celebrity pics- it looks like it was another C-list year.

I know what you mean. It has been a weird week. I didn't even notice it was Derby week until Thursday.
