Haven't been on the beaches since the June grass invaded this year after the oil spill debacle. How's the fishing on the beaches of South Walton? Are the Pompano still about?

If ur fishing for sea slugs or June grass you will be one happy dude. I had to row out 300 yds the past 4 days to even get a bite. Lady fish make great bait. Hooked a large hammerhead at dusk in my dingy last night....nice fight for about 15 mins until he took all the line off my spool. Pitch dark, no line on my reel, in a leaky dingy 300 yds of the shore....priceless.
