Polar Bear Plunge at WaterColor 2011 Photos

It's an exciting annual tradition at the WaterColor Inn and Resort. What better way to start a new year than with an invigorating plunge into the cool waters of the Gulf of Mexico?

Young and old alike assemble in the early morning hours of a new day, month, and year to brave cold temps in an exciting romp into and quickly out of the water. Welcome 2011!

Watercolor Guest?

Do you have to be a guest at Watercolor to participate or do you just show up at the beach by 9 a.m.?:idontno:

You don't have to wait until 1/1/12. It's cold enough for Polar Bears today!

Be there this weekend but will probably have a wetsuit on. My kids and I went the second week in december (with wetsuits) mine was a shorty and my legs were numb after about 15 minutes still refreshing though.
