For the first time, lectures by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on literature and language have been collected and made available in the new volume, ?The Flow of Consciousness?. Editor Rhoda Orme-Johnson, Ph.D, former Professor and Department Chairperson at Maharishi University of Management, will be signing copies of the book at Sundog Books in Seaside from 12:30 to 2:30 pm Saturday, January 8, 2011.
In this volume, Maharishi?s brilliant insights into the creative process, the nature and origin of language, and how the various aspects of literature (sound, rhythm, and meaning) affect the consciousness of the reader are introduced, summarized and then presented in their actual format, as he spoke. Dr. Orme-Johnson will then read from the volume and illustrate its points with inspiring excerpts from great writers at The Studio in Seaside at 3:00 pm.
