Hello! My boyfriend and I are relatively new to the area. 30a offers a lot of arts, which is great for me, but my boyfriend would like an athletic outlet. Does anyone get together in the sowal area to play sports? He plays football, basketball, and tennis. Hopefully we can get a group together and make some new friends! Thanks!

For football, I think you're goingto have to go to FWB to find a semi-pro team. Some info on options here:

Tennis, I know there are public courts at the Freeport regional park, and league play out of Sandestin resort.

For something different (though again a bit of a drive) there's rugby in FWB:

Many people in South Walton stick to the individual activities, like jogging, hiking, biking, kayaking, YOLO boarding, etc. Can be lots of fun and great exercise.

Hey!
You must stop by SK8 30A BOARD SHOP! We have YOLO BOARD RENTALS, SKATEBOARDS, LONGBOARDS, LAND PADDLES AND A GREAT LOCAL VIBE! You can stop by anytime...we are open 7 days a week from 10-5! Look for Josh, he is the man! We are located in Blue Mountain Beach {across the street from Big Daddy's Bike Rentals, a bakery, a smoothie place and we are next to a liquor store, gift shop & 2 restaurants!} You can typlically find people of all ages hanging out at the shop and most of them will either be on a skateboard or longboard! I highly suggest getting a quick lesson on a Beach Mountain Land Paddle/Longboard, perfect for all ages and men & women!
Check out our website in the mean time...www.sk830a.com!! Hope to see you soon!

I know some guys have been playing pick up basketball at Pt. Washington UMC. They seem pretty intense players and really nice guys from the area.
